nvision08
nvision08 is the first worldwide conference dedicated to visual computing organized by Nvidia, in San Jose (California).
It was the opportunity to discover some very interesting stuff:
- 3dmx: this screen mix hardware and software to provide a UNIQUE 3D sensation... awesome.
- Perceptive Pixel: Founder Jeff Han has demonstrated a kind of what next computer's interface could be. Awesome again! Website: http://www.perceptivepixel.com/
- Photosynth form Microsoft Live Labs: this platform merge a full set of photographs, then identify links btween each of them and then propose a wonderful 3D vision.
I saw a demo for the very first time from Total Immersion, a French startup developing an augmented reality solution.

Plug&Play Center in Sunnyvale - July 21st
Plug&Play is a Service Center, a sort Venture Garage to facilitate early stage startup needs in infrastructure (offices, servers, recruitment)... They ran services for now established technologies companies (Paypal for example), and are developing now their offer in 3 different locations (Sunnyvale, Redwood City and Palo Alto).
They manage relations with Universities (Stanford...), VCs and Angels to reinforce their attractiveness.
